So hey you guys. Lots of stuff went down over the past 18 months. I think I have spoken elsewhere about the irony of how the more interesting your life gets, the less time you have to generate blog content. Maybe I can post a bunch of pictures and get credit for the many 1,000s of words I have failed to write?
January 2010 - Ace and I went on a ridiculously wonderful (delayed) honeymoon to New Zealand and Fiji. Probably deserves its own post.
February 2010 - We went to Carmel for a verrrry romantic Valentine's Day weekend. If you know what I mean.
March 2010 - We bought a house!
A round house.
I think it looks like a mushroom or a turtle. Ace imagines elves living here. We've christened it Dolce Domum. I love it every day.
We wanted a place with plenty of room. If you catch my drift.
May 2010 - My dad turned 70...and four months later, so did my mom. We used the occasion to share with them some good news. If you see what I'm driving at.
We did a bunch of hiking over the spring and summer, which started off at the Tourist Club's Maifest, with much polka-ing. I passed on the beer. As you might imagine.
We got our last fix of sailing before quitting the club. We figured it might be a while before we got back out on the water. As one might expect. Great friends, terrific weather...dolphins!
In July we actually got the keys to our dome and commenced some DIY renovations.
July was spent in the family way as Ace's brother was married and we celebrated at a splendid estate near Chicago.
While we were in the Midwest, we visited Ace's parents' hometown. Double rainbow!
In September, I hugged a tree named The Mother of the Forest. For obvious reasons.
We even took a commemorative trip back to Carmel because we knew all our adventures were ending.
The following week, all our adventures began.
